Pierce Fabrication and Steel Works was born out of a growing demand for local fabricators in Southeast Iowa, Northern Missouri and Northwest Illinois who are committed to keeping dollars in our communities. We believe when local guys can do the work, then local families are better supported. This way, we all win.
70 years and counting
Our parent company, Pierce Fence Company, was founded in 1952 in Ottumwa, IA. Bill and Marilyn Pierce started the business to fulfill the need for local contractors and passed it to their son, Scott, as a second generation business owner to carry on the legacy.
Jerred Pierce is currently the third generation owner and is committed to building the business, offering superior customer service and satisfying the market for quality fencing and fabrication projects. He employs local talent and supports many local initiatives.

A Partnership that works
Eric Reinier is a dedicated family man and a seasoned professional in the construction industry, currently serving as a partner and Head of Fabrication Division at Pierce Fabrication Co. and Steel Works in Ottumwa, Iowa. With over two decades of experience in steel and welding, coupled with a total of 23 years in construction, Eric brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project he takes on.
Inspired by a lifelong passion for watching structures come to life, Eric's career was shaped by early experiences helping neighbors with chores and apprenticing for a local plumber during his high school years. His commitment to excellence and love for challenges have led him to work on a variety of projects, from precision-driven projects like the Amtrak Ottumwa Project to high-pressure assignments such as school additions and fire department constructions, where he thrives on delivering exceptional results under tight deadlines.
Beyond the worksite, Eric finds joy in spending quality time camping and boating with his blended family, which includes his partner of 6 years, Maddison Ware, and their 8 children.
